Intensive Community Participation Project (ICPP) Kaikohe

arrow_downward

The Intensive Community Participation Project aims to increase participation in Early Childhood Education in Kaikohe and increase the awareness and value of early learning for whānau.

A range of initiatives have been developed by the ICPP Project Coordinator and Community Action Group to address barriers to early childhood participation. Initiatives are responsive to community need and range from regular community street play days to large early childhood whānau fun day events.

‘Te Kohekohe Whānau Centre’ has been one of the most valued initiatives where families, with children from birth to five years, can access information about local early childhood services, connect with other parents and children in the community, gain parenting advice and support, and share meaningful early learning experiences alongside their children.
