Nicholas is an accomplished English language teacher with an interest in how emerging technologies can be used to enhance language acquisition. With a tertiary background in the arts, he looks for any opportunity to incorporate creative learning tools into TESOL.
After completing his Masters in TESOL at the University of Melbourne, Nicholas worked with migrant and international students to prepare them for entry into mainstream Australian high schools. Following this, he took on a role in the English prepatory program at the innovative Ozyegin University in Istanbul, Turkey, where he was introduced to a host of technologies used both inside and outside the classroom to accelerate students’ acquisition of the English language.
In his new role as an eTeacher in the ACCELL team at CORE, Nicholas is able to continue working with new technologies to empower New Zealand students to achieve in English.

As someone who probably spent too long at University, I guess that I have always enjoyed education and its connection to creativity. Any opportunity I get to both learn and produce something new is invaluable to me, which is why it’s awesome to be able to participate in the innovative culture at CORE.
In my spare time I paint, draw and keep up with my nerdy obsessions – graphic novels, and anything science-fiction.
