Are you confident and forward-looking and looking for a challenge? CORE Education has a rare opportunity for a Senior Event Coordinator with appropriate qualifications and 3-5 years previous experience in running medium to large event organisation.

You will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating a range of CORE owned and managed events that service the wider education sector. We’re looking for a consummate multi-tasker with exceptional organisation, financial and communication skills who can plan, document and deliver process-driven critical paths, and manage event logistics. Proficiency in using spreadsheets and project and event management systems is essential.

The person in this role reports to the Events Manager and will work closely in a small Events team alongside Marketing/Sponsorship, Finance, IT and Administration CORE staff, and liaise with external event service providers.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Event planning.
  • Contract negotiation.
  • Project management of events using online systems.
  • Monitoring budgets and cost management.
  • Communication with external suppliers, service users and internal staff.
  • On-site event management.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven 3-5 years experience in medium to large event organisation.
  • Demonstrated success in event project management.
  • Exceptional organisation and planning abilities and an eye for fine detail.
  • Proficiency in operating in digital environments.
  • Excellent ability to prioritise, multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills.
  • Willing to ‘go the extra mile’ (particularly at peak event times).
  • The flexibility to travel as required.
  • Knowledge of the education sector would be an advantage, but not a requirement.

If you have the experience in developing end to end events and are energetic and thrive on responsibility this role is for you. You will need the drive to work independently within a small events team to ensure superior, successful event delivery.
