ICOT 2013

With 1000 delegates from around the world, leading international speakers and a history of 16 years of fostering collegial exchange and educational development around the topic of thinking, ICOT in Wellington 21-25 January is set to start the new year with a ‘shot in the arm’ for leading educationalists and thinkers in New Zealand.

The conference, to expand global thinking around the themes of future survival, personal futures and future society, comes to New Zealand for the first time since 2001.

Master classes have started Monday with Tony Ryan and Pam Hook. Keynotes at the conference include Dr Edward de Bono, Mai Chen, Dr Kerry Spackman and Dr David Perkins. They will be delivering, along with dozens of speakers and workshops, thought provoking and challenging observations.

Further activities include the WORLD CAFE on Wednesday afternoon (23rd January), looking at Thinking in Education.

“We believe this conference sets the scene for the year for educationalists, environmentalists, government and business in New Zealand. It is a fantastic way to start the year with a variety of challenging ideas to take home,” says CORE Education Director of Development Nick Billowes. “CORE is delighted to have the opportunity to organise this conference and be part of challenging thought leaders in very important areas of our society,” he says.
