Anaru is a facilitator for the Blended e-Learning project. He has experience in the primary and secondary sectors.
Prior to joining CORE Education, Anaru firstly worked in the primary sector in Christchurch. During this time he held a number of management roles including head of Physical Education and Te Reo Māori. Anaru was also a sports co-ordinator organising programmes for over 800 students. For three years Anaru facilitated the Te Kauhua project focussing on realising Māori education success.
After a year off to study, Anaru moved to the secondary sector and took up the position as a kaiako Māori. This role included implementing a te reo Māori programme and initiatives to engage whānau in learning.
Anaru has found digital technologies invaluable in his learning and teaching. Anaru continues to explore the opportunities digital learning create to transform learning.
