Anaru is a facilitator for the Blended e-Learning project. He has experience in the primary and secondary sectors.
Prior to joining CORE Education, Anaru worked firstly at Chisnallwood Intermediate in Christchurch. During his time there, he was head of Physical Education and Te Reo Māori. Anaru was also sports co-ordinator for two years, organising programmes for over 800 students. From 2007 to 2009 Anaru facilitated the Te Kauhua project at Chisnallwood focussing on realising Māori education success.
After a year off to study, Anaru took up the position as kaiako Māori at Riccarton High School in Christchurch. This role included implementing a te reo Māori programme and initiatives to engage whānau in learning.
