CORE Education's blended learning model

The diagram illustrates the range of ways you are able to engage within a blended learning approach.

Blended learning: online and face-to-face

While the emphasis is on engaging learners in the online environment, the blended approach also provides face-to-face interactions. Some of our sessions also cater for on-site sessions facilitated by your own staff.

In the online environment we use structured learning experiences and activities sequenced for you to work through and complete. As well as this we use web 2.0 tools to form groups, invite friends, and learn within a collaborative environment.

Synchronous and asynchronous

Asynchronous interaction provides participants with the opportunity to study at the time, place and pace that best suits them.

Synchronous interactioninvolves the use of a range of tools to provide ‘real time’ interaction. For example, the use of Skype, videoconferencing and webinars. You will be advised when these sessions occur at the beginning of your course so you can plan to be available for these sessions.
