Wednesday, 15 September at 7.45am
Simon Evans is the project facilitator for Software for Learning and Te Pātaka Matihiko: Digistore. As part of this role Simon supports teachers through maintaining online materials, sharing effective pedagogy and informing teachers of updates through both the Software for Learning and Te Pātaka Matihiko: Digistore newsletters.
Simon will present these two Ministry initiatives, and explore ways in which they can support effective practice and open new and different ways of working.
Software for Learning provides a catalogue of software recommended by New Zealand teachers to enhance learning. Te Pātaka Matihiko: Digistore makes available digital resources, single items of content such as images, video and audio clips and interactive resources with a specific learning focus. Breakfast will be served at 7.45am, with Simon beginning the discussion at 8am. He will wrap things up around 9am but you are invited to stay and chat with Simon, other CORE staff and one another after the seminar.
