There are five categories for you to choose from in the 2016 Canterbury DigiAwards. Pick a category, and show us how you can “Be the Change”.
Make a movie that show us how you can make a positive change in the world and holds the audience’s attention from beginning to end. Your movie, documentary, report, or digital story should be no more than 3 minutes long and demonstrate excellent camera-work, editing, dialogue or narration, plus background music that enhance the story.
Using a digital-art form such as graphic design, digital photos (altered or unaltered), animation, comics or a photo-story, illustrate how you can change the world to be a better place using good composition, emotion, or digital techniques.
Do you enjoy playing in a digital sandpit? This could be robotics, coding, app development, games, digital worlds, exploring the digital maker culture or more. This category has been created for innovative kids to show off their latest digital creations and learn from the creations of others.
Develop a website that explains, explores or encourages positive change. Be original in your concept, content and design. Your website may contain a range of media including (but not limited to) blogs, video, and polls.
If you want to see change in the world but don’t have a ticket to travel, move characters or people around in a world that is projected onto a green screen. This could be a future or past world — use your imagination to create one you would love to be a part of.
