Embrace social spaces at uLearn!
We’ve created many ways to connect, including some new networking and immersive experiences, providing opportunities for lively, targeted dialogue and exposure to new people, strategies, resources and ideas.
And we make it pretty easy to connect online before, during and after the conference too. Contribute to online discussions as part of the uLearn18 edSpace community and get involved in the Connected Educator activities.
Let’s get social - face to face and online!
You can opt into one of the new face-to-face uLearn social activities:
We’ll add information about a pre-conference webinar here too, keeping you up with the play before you join us at uLearn18. We can’t wait to get social with you!
A light hearted evening featuring amusing banter and starring educators (who certainly know how to talk). Talking ‘Eds includes audience participation, and is brought to you by CORE’s EDtalks team.
Try your hand at some fun activities or game stations during this 60 minute, bookable breakout. You can wander between stations at your own pace and chat informally, or contribute a hands-on trial or demo of your own.
Want to try out the Kiwi escape game? Use your observational skills, problem solving ability, street smarts and common sense, you need to decipher a set of tricky clues and puzzles as you and your team race to find the answers and escape – all in 60 minutes! Book with others for some fun team building or we’ll connect you with others to make a team on the night.

Gather for a 60-minute, social gathering at uLearn social’s Town Square.
This is a fun and engaging opportunity to connect in a space that’s the heart of a community - the Town Square. You can participate in speed-geeking conversations, listen to ideas shared from a Soapbox and watch inspired Ignite sessions. Visit the Town Square to experience the vitality and heart of the uLearn community!
Or plan to participate by submitting an abstract to get up on the soapbox (up to three minutes to share a concept, tool or resource) or prepare your slides in the Ignite format (15 slides, 20 seconds each).
