Media Team

 

This year, the news team is preparing video footage and news interviews as well as daily newsletters. These will archive the experience which is LearningatSchool 2010.

 

Tessa Gray

Tessa Gray works for Core Edcuation as a National Support Services Facilitator for the ICT PD contract. Tessa is also the ICT PD Online faciltiator and her background is with Art and ICT. She comes to ChristChurch to work at Ulearn with 12 fantastic students who are the Ulearn Media Team. Tessa lives in sunny Tauranga and leaves behind the beach, her partner and darling son Ashton for five days to help create some media magic.

 

Kurt

Kurt is a year twelve student from Mount Maunganui College, who studies English, Maths, Accounting, French, Music and Biology. His interests include playing guitar and reading novels. He aspires to excell in Psychology at university. Kurt is at the L@S to interview and photograph teachers and principals at the L@S conference. In doing this, he hopes to develop his social and teamwork abilities.

 


Matthew

 Matthew is a student who attends Mount Maunganui College, and studies Computers, Accounting, English, Maths, Chemistry and Physics. He is 16 years old and currently in Year 12, NCEA Level 2. He enjoys and participates in Motocross cross country racing, and competes in competitions regularly.

Matthew hopes to gain work experience from the Learning@School conference. Matt's jobs at the L@S conference is to produce newsletters and take interviews from principals, teachers and other guests attending the conference, the purpose of the interviews is to discover what teachers and principals have gained from the conference and what information that they might be planning to use in their classrooms at their schools.

The will also be posting updates onto twitter keeping a constant link with the readers, additionally the media team will be uploading photos onto flickr with captions explaining what or who are in them.

 

James

James is a student who attends Mount Maunganui College, and studies Computers, Accounting, English, Maths, History and Physics. He is 16 years old and currently in Year 12, NCEA Level 2. 

He participates in Warhammer 40k and plays the army Chaos Space Marines, likes to play video games, and enjoys working with computers. James hopes to gain work experience and some computer experience from the Learning@School conference.

James's jobs at the L@S conference is to film the important keynote speakers for the duration of the conference, and edit the film we take as we go. 

 

Alex

Alex Bradford goes to Mount Maunganui College and is in year 12 (6th form) study's ICT, physics, maths, english, history and film. He likes to work with computers and cameras. Alex's hobbies include badminton, football, computer games and biking. He hopes to learn new skills like new camera techniques and angles from this conference and wants to walk away knowing that he can apply these newly learned skills to real life situations.
