
The Targeted Professional Development Programme (2010–2013) is Ministry of Education funded. It operates in specific locations in New Zealand where communities have the most to gain from high quality early childhood services.
The intention of the Targeted Professional Development Programme is to strengthen cohesiveness and coherence of effective practice through centre-based professional learning. CORE facilitators are working with early childhood teaching teams and communities to improve learning outcomes for children in the following focus areas:

Centres within each location may be engaged in a centre-based programme tailored to their needs, or be part of a cluster of centres addressing the same focus area.
