The focus of the CORE Research suite of services is to build the evidence base for effective educational practice, and to establish measures of quality and value in teaching and learning.

CORE believes that effective and transformational teaching and learning is that which is based on sound evidence.

CORE’s research team is highly qualified and specialises in a range of social and educational research methodologies, including:

Programme evaluation methods. Soft Systems methodology Action research and self-study methods. Case study and ethnographic research. Online survey development and analysis.

Evaluate projects/programmes

Our evaluation portfolio ranges from studies of major government initiatives to small scale evaluations in individual organisations.

Mentor reflective practice

CORE mentors practitioners conducting evidence based enquiries, self-studies and other forms of research-based reflection on practice.

Analyse trends

We have specialist capability in conducting educational surveys, policy trends analysis and literature reviews.

Pilot new initiatives

CORE conducts ‘green fields’ research related to eLearning, professional learning and educational leadership.  We encourage collaborative bids for research grants.

Publish research findings

CORE publishes its own, and its clients’ research in both online and traditional media – on websites, in academic articles and in conference keynotes.

Test educational products

CORE does educational market analysis and usability testing for new products and services.
