iCTLT Student Media Team Project
International Collaboration; City Life and Country Life
|
Groups of students from Innova Primary School, Singapore, and Kahutara School in the Wairarapa, New Zealand, are comparing and contrasting life in their community, their schools and their classrooms. Students from the two schools are exchanging questions and responding to the questions using digital media. These responses are being displayed on this website, and at the New Zealand Learning Technology pavilion at the iCTLT conference in Singapore. |

The objectives of this international collaboration are to expose students to the cultures of neigbouring countries through interaction and sharing, to provide opportunities for students to collect, process, and communicate information, and to extend students’ skills in the use of multimedia technology. Teachers will be using the Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) approach, encouraging students to ask questions, to seek resolutions to these questions, and to make connections with the information collected and shape new ideas. |
