Innova Primary School is situated in Woodlands estate, at the northern part of Singapore. Currently, the school has about 1000 students from Primary One to Primary Six (7 year olds to 12 year olds) in 30 classes. Innova Primary is a new school, having started only in 2008 with about 450 students in 14 classes.
Most of our students are from the surrounding neighbourhood but some of our students are from our neighbouring country, Malaysia. Our students hail from three main races - Chinese, Malay and Indian. However, our common spoken language is English.
The school day begins at 8.00 am and ends at 1.30 pm every day except on Thursdays when school ends at 3.30 pm. On Thursday afternoon, our students attend the Adventure Learning Programmes (ALPs) where they learn and grow to be confident, curious and cooperative. On other days, some of our students stay after dismissal to participate in various activities such as badminton, table tennis, and netball; Chinese or Malay dance or attending Public Speaking or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Club.
