Personal statement:

“Te Reo me ōna Tikanga hold particular value to my personal and professional life. My journey has always been centred around kaupapa Māori. I admire and value the kaiako that have dedicated their careers to continuing the legacy our tīpuna left for us. As a second language learner myself I am aware of how hard the journey is. My passion for Te Reo Māori has taken me to national Kura Reo and, more recently, to Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo. It is important for me to share with kaiako the little I have learnt and to inspire them to continue on their individual journeys.”
