Diane Mills
Diane is a Blended e-Learning Team Leader.
Prior to working with CORE Education, Diane worked for four years in education reform in the Middle East, providing professional development to teachers on a wide range of educational topics to help align their teaching with 21st century expectations in education. Diane is committed to working alongside teachers and sharing best practice—she says educational teacher talk helps to crystallize ideas and beliefs about excellence in education. She is mindful that students deserve the best that teachers have to offer and that teaching, learning and assessment needs to be technologically relevant to students—the digital natives in our schools.
Diane is a trained secondary IT and Mathematics teacher. Most of her secondary teaching has been in Waikato schools with a high proportion of Maori students. Diane has held the positions of Dean, HOD Mathematics, HOD Computing and team leader for IT PD. Equity and building student confidence to learn and achieve, underpinned all roles held.
