Professional Profile:
Professional Profile

Jill has been using her extensive knowledge of professional development and ICT’s to enrich the learning experience of teachers and students for many years.

She began working for CORE Education in January 2004 as a national ICT PD facilitator providing both mentorship to the clusters and the schools within, and monitoring their progress for Ministry of Education reporting. In 2009 she added NZ Curriculum and student achievement as a component of her job, and began working in schools with senior management and teachers to raise teacher effectiveness and set direction for whole school change.

Jill combined her knowledge of effective teaching, e-Learning and change management to facilitate schools in the review, future focused visioning and development of their own school based curriculum.

In 2011, Jill has added another dimension to her work, supporting Te Toi Tupu Central North Literacy facilitators in raising student achievement through e-Learning. In this role she has both mentored teachers and modeled effective practice in classrooms.

Jill has always been a strong player in the development of online communities. She is also a regular presenter at conferences throughout New Zealand. Prior to joining CORE, Jill was facilitator for several ICT PD Clusters from 1999-2003. This followed Jill’s long career in classroom teaching from Year 0-8, and a year working for Info-Tech Education.
