Personal statement:

“I am passionate about providing the best teaching and learning environment possible for our students; the best role modelling and mentoring possible for our teachers and school leaders, and the provision of high quality professional development for the education sector.

I am very supportive of the 2010 NZ Curriculum and the direction it has set for the future. I have worked as a sector leader in the NZC implementation period for Otago schools (2007-2010) and as an adviser to schools in NZC. My special passion is literacy education; my thesis was on student writing.”
