Sharon Carlson
Sharon is an Early Years facilitator for the Central North Island region.
Sharon is a facilitator with the Early Years team and currently providing profressional development and learning through MoE and centre funded contracts throughout New Zealand. She joined CORE Education in 2006 to facilitate the Early Childhood Education ICT Professional Learning Programme for the Central North Island Cluster. This role provided Sharon with the opportunity to challenge and support teachers to extend their skills and knowledge in ICT and pedagogy whilst also stretching her as she continues her own learning journey. During this time she has developed specialist knowledge related to engaging and empowering children, teachers and families in making the most of ICT and web related tools and applications along with cyber/digital safety and ePortfolios.Sharon has taught in various kindergartens in the Waikato as a teacher and head teacher.
