Simon has been with CORE Education since 2010, working on the Software for Learning contract.  He has also responsibilities for Metadata entry for the Digistore resources produced by CORE Education. Before CORE, Simon spent time delivering ICT professional development to teachers through Breathe Technology. Before that he was a primary classroom teacher for 11 years (including part-time as a new entrant teacher) both in NZ and the UK.

Expertise: 

Simon is particularly interested in the impact of Web 2.0 tools on teaching and learning. He is currently authoring a series of books to support teachers in the use of wikis, blogs and podcasting to support the literacy curriculum. As a classroom teacher he has spent many hours using Web2.0 tools in the classroom and experimenting with software packages and their use with his students. Simon is interested and experienced in:
