A strong advocate of social innovation in public services, Damian has established a Knowsley Child Poverty Programme to develop new approaches in reducing child poverty.

Knowsley has also recently published a report by an independent ‘Commission on the Lives of Young People in Knowsley’ to inform future policy and service development, which is receiving much attention and wide acclaim.

Damian is a founding member of the Cisco sponsored, Global Education Leaders’ Programme, which is an international coalition of education system leaders, global consultants and leading practitioners committed to building, accelerating and sustaining real education transformation at local, national, and global levels.

Prior to becoming a Local Authority Officer, Damian was an Assistant Principal in a Sixth Form College and before that a secondary school science teacher.
