CORE Education, a provider of Education for Enterprise professional development skills, coordinates the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise in the Canterbury region on behalf of the Young Enterprise Trust. YES is a national programme of the Young Enterprise Trust developed for secondary schools.

Canterbury has a reputation for innovative businesses and as a region has produced a number of well known New Zealand entrepreneurs as well as one of our teams from last year being the overall winner for New Zealand (Oceanic Fusion-St Thomas of Canterbury) Canterbury also produced numerous other national award winners last year.

Participating in the Young Enterprise Scheme is an opportunity for you to test your entrepreneurial skills and work within a team to have a go at building and running a real business.

One of the key factors for success is communications. Please keep in contact with Juanita Reddish, the Canterbury YES Coordinator, update her with your Company minutes, register for all the events on time, and keep her up to date with your Company's progress.

Your YES year will be full of challenges and hard work that you will find rewarding and fun. Remember be resilient, when things get tough keep going. The YES programme offers many opportunities at Regional and National level - so give it a go and enjoy the experience!
