Giving back

Each year, staff dedicate a day to getting out into the community to lend a hand. CORE even designates one month as ‘Community month’, when our whānau are encouraged to take part in a range of activities around Aotearoa.

 

Past projects include:

  • Cooking at Ronald McDonald House
  • Gardening at Dogwatch and Willowbank
  • Cleaning beaches and rivers across the country
  • Gardening at WellFed, an Urban Community Farm in Cannons Creek
  • Putting together Christmas food parcels for the City Mission
  • Painting classrooms for Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery's temporary campus
  • Gardening at Somerfield School’s Greenville project
  • Working at EcoMatters in Auckland
  • Planting at Hongoeka in Porirua
  • Shifting classrooms at Tai Tapu School
  • Supporting Red Cross in Auckland
  • Developing a website for SmileDial
  • Sorting clothes at Auckland City Mission
  • Supporting Duffy Books at their HQ
  • Developing resources for Wanganui Intermediate School.
