Site use policy

Last updated: December 2015

Following is the Site Use Policy of all sites run by CORE Education Ltd (CORE). It describes CORE's intended audience and our approach to content. It includes our policies concerning spam and misuse of our sites, and a disclaimer. The following policies govern your use of this site.

About this site

Our intended audiences for this site are educators, educational leaders, partners and affiliates, and anyone interested in education in both New Zealand and other countries. We have done our best to make our site easy to navigate, and the content easy to understand. The education and technology worlds are full of jargon, acronyms, and abbreviations that, to the uninitiated, can be difficult to understand. Wherever possible we have minimised such language.

We follow the practices of "plain language" on our site. Should you find difficulty in understanding any content on the site, please contact us (help@core-ed.org), as we are always seeking to improve the site. Of course, there are some things that cannot be expressed other than in the language of the industry we are in. Wherever possible we explain terms either within the content.

By visiting and using our websites, and using our products and services, you agree to this notice regarding site use.

Spam and misuse of our sites

We have a nil tolerance towards spam. We will not tolerate our sites being used for generating, or being implicated in the use of spam or any other illegal, destructive or inappropriate purpose, or for any purpose other than our intended use of the sites. We will follow up any such use and take the appropriate action.

You must not use any of our sites or our online services for any of the following:

  1. Fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence, or other unlawful activity
  2. To send, use, or reuse any material that is:
    1. illegal, offensive, objectionable, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene, menacing, in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy, or any other right injurious to third parties
    2. consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or "spam"
  3. Harassing, causing annoyance, distress, needless anxiety, or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our websites.

You agree to use our online services only for lawful purposes, and in ways that do not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of our online services.
